The Pregnancy Medical Team

There is a whole team of medical professionals to help during childbirth.

A midwife is a nurse who is specially trained in the care of pregnancy and childbirth.

About three-quarters of all babies born in Britain are delivered by midwives. Besides being present during labour, they undertake the antenatal care of a normal pregnancy, and also the postnatal care for up to 28 days after delivery. They either work in the maternity department of a hospital or in the community looking after mothers and babies in their own homes.

An obstetrician is a doctor who specialises in pregnancy and childbirth. Obstetricians attend antental clinics to check the health of expectant mothers. They also attend the births of babies born in hospital when there are likely to be any complications such as a breech birth or Caesarian section.

A gynaecologist is a doctor who specialises in the functions and diseases of the female reproductive system. Gynaecologists are usually also obstetricians.

A paediatrician is a doctor who specialises in the care of children from the time they are born. The medical check-up given to babies born in hospital will be carried out by a paediatrician.

Confucius Say: to Reveal or Not to Reveal?

The long-lived clash of East vs. West is ever lasting and sadly continuing. Even as far as showing the differences in opinions of maternity clothes As we know western culture, celebs and society at large have decided that accentuating your pregnant belly and chest is absolutely fabulous, whereas Eastern cultures – Islamic and Asian – have preserved the right to keep the reticence of the past generations. The customs around pregnancy wear is along the same lines as our dear Florence Nightingale, the clothes are not as figure-loving, the hemlines are longer and the bust lines more conservative. The modern Islamic ladies use fabrics with vivid and bright shades and more intense intrepid designs. This is of is polar opposite from the ladies in China. Chinese rule has established that women may only have one child, and so their second pregnancy must be a covered and hidden as much as possible in shapeless and less distracting clothing – bringing sexy back? I don’t think so. Bringing pergola-dresses back? More like it.

Hopefully, We Will Have a Child

I really need help getting pregnant. It seems like we have already tried every trick in the book, and maybe things are just not working out for us. We might need to see a doctor. In fact, I have already made an appointment with one. I know that it might be my issue or his issue. I have no idea. I am not going to play the blame game though. I feel like I just want to be a mother. It is all that I have ever dreamed about, so I am sure that I can make it come true, whether naturally or through some type of help. I feel like we really have to try our best to get me pregnant. I guess that if I do need some sort of fertility treatment, I will not have a problem with that at all. It might be the only solution that we have.

Best Baby Crib Mobile Features

Do you need a baby crib mobile for your themed nursery? Which ones are best and does it really matter which one you choose? Mobiles are meant to stimulate baby and keep her alert and entertained. They are also built to look pretty in the nursery.

Find mobiles with a combination of both but look for some key features that will help your baby even more.

The top mobiles for infants will be those with black and white graphics. For the first few months of a baby’s life, she will respond best to colors that are high contrast. This means black and white are more likely to catch her eye.

Another great must have in a mobile is something that moves around. Anything that has a motor or a wind up device is a good thing and will help keep your baby entertained.

If it has a remote attached to it, even better because this means you don’t have to keep running back to it to wind it up again.
