As you near the end of pregnancy’s second trimester or when you’re 26 weeks pregnant, your belly size as well baby’s movement increases.
Physical Changes
If you’ve been eating a well-proportioned diet, you’d have probably gained about 15-20 pounds so far, but since your baby has grown up further, you may get occasional pain due to baby’s movement underneath your ribs.
At 26 week, you baby would measure around 35cm from head to foot and there’d be further improvement in baby’s hand co-ordination
The sleeping patterns of baby would seems to change, and the baby would be more active at certain times of the day; however, their movement may become more prominent during your periods of rest and you should continue with the regular activities.
Your tummy would grow by a good 20-30% by 26th week of pregnancy, and you shouldn’t be bothered about the size of your belly, or buttocks!
During 26th week, baby’s eyes start to open and finger and nails continue to grow as well.
From 26th week onwards, you must consume 300 extra calories every day for ensuring proper growth of the baby.
