As stated in its Second Annual Report, The Century Commission believes "a long-term water conservation, use and supply plan, for environmental, agricultural and public consumption purposes" is essential for a sustainable quality of life in Florida. To this end, the Century Commission will convene a statewide Water Congress, on September 25-26, 2008, to develop a comprehensive set of sustainable water use and supply action steps.

Sponsorship Opportunities 

The 2008 Water Congress: Planning for Florida’s Water Future, hosted by the Century Commission for a Sustainable Florida, will be the premiere water event in Florida this fall. 

A slate of 120 voting delegates will formulate an action plan and policy recommendations for Florida’s water needs over the next 50 years. Open to the public, the event will attract leaders and elected officials throughout the state. 

Sponsorships may be made to fund a specific event, such as luncheons, breaks, breakfasts or the reception or may be made to the overall conference. Sponsorships may be made in any amount. Sponsors will receive recognition in all Water Congress materials including news releases, program and the Congress website.

 

Sponsors providing $15,000 and above will also be invited to provide a tabletop display in the foyer outside of the plenary sessions and breakout meeting rooms. Display opportunities are limited to 10.

 

Sponsorships made through the Collins Center for Public Policy are tax deductible.
